Please read the following credential requirements.
- Mart Card Holders: Present your Mart Card along with your photo ID.
- Pre-registered Buyers: If you have registered online, bring your credentials along with your barcoded confirmation.
- On-site Registration: Each Buyer registering on-site must present business credentials.
The following credentials are required to register
for the The Chicago Market: Living and Giving®. If you cannot
provide the following credentials, you must be accompanied by a credentialed
buyer and pay the $50 guest fee.
RETAIL/COMMERCIALLY-LOCATED BUSINESSES
Retail/Commerically-Located Businesses are required to present ALL of the following:
1. Photo ID
and
2. One (1) of the following pieces of business identification:
- Current Federal Tax # Certificate
- Trade publication advertisement
- Current Retail Business License
- Appropriate "Yellow Pages" listing
- Four recent wholesale invoices for gift-related purchases
- Store/Commercial lease indicating type of business as retail
and
3. One (1) of the following pieces of employment identification:
- Copy of canceled company payroll check or payroll stub
- Personalized, imprinted business card
- Copy of W-2 form
- Copy of company health insurance card
- Copy of company credit card with employee and company names

INTERIOR DESIGNERS
Interior Designers qualify for admittance by presenting:
- Photo ID
- Tax ID
- Professional membership card (ASID, IIDA, IBD, AIA)
- Business Card

NON-RETAIL/HOME-BASED BUSINESSES
Home-based Businesses are required to present ALL of the following :
- Photo ID
- Personalized Business ID (business card or canceled payroll check)
- Current Retail Business License or current Resale Tax Certificate
- Imprinted Business Check
- Copies of current year invoices showing at least $2,000 in wholesale purchases of merchandise represented in The Chicago Merchandise Mart.

HOSPITAL GIFT SHOP VOLUNTEERS
- Photo ID
- Hospital ID
- Letter on hospital letterhead indicating that you are an authorized volunteer/buyer.

Show Rules and Regulations
The Chicago Market: Living and Giving® is a wholesale to the trade only event. Guest badges are limited to one per credentialed buyer, and ALL buyers and employees MUST have proper credentials to attend the Market. This includes a resale certificate, business card and photo ID for each buyer. Please make sure to check all of your credentials before you arrive at Market.
Strollers are not allowed. Children under the age of 16 are strongly discouraged from attending and are only eligible to receive guest badges on site. They must be accompanied by a registered attendee and will be charged a $50 guest fee. On-site sample selling is not permitted. All orders must be shipped; merchandise is not allowed to be removed from floors/showrooms during the Market. Permission must be granted by show management and the exhibitor before any photographs can be taken of the booths/showrooms and their contents.
